*Switching to third person, a personal style preference for me*
"I think that's a good idea," Cathy said, "Tom, you don't mind keeping your aunt company for the day in her shoe." Tom looked up incredulously and exclaimed "but I got the pebble out." Cathy shook her head, "Tom, you need to spend more time with Ann, and this is the perfect way. I don't want to hear anything more about it." Ann rubbed her hands with glee and said "excellent, I knew taking him in was a good idea." She grabbed on to Tom with two of her toes and and said "in you go" and shoved the tiny boy into her shoe.
Tom spent the next hour trapped in Ann's shoe. He tried to push out against her toes, but that only caused Ann to scrunch them around him even more, causing little Tom even more torture. She alternated between scrunching around him and releasing him, letting him have some time to recoup. That was always followed by more scrunching, forcing little Tom to feel all the sweat from Ann's toes. Tom thought back at all the time when Cathy could have shrunk him and didn't, and he hoped that this didn't become a regular ordeal.
After an hour, Ann grabbed on to Tom with her toes and pulled him out of her shoe. He looked around and realized that he was in Ann's house. His step-aunt said "so, how did you like your time in my shoe?" Tom looked up and said "it was not fun at all." Ann laughed and replied "awww, my feet are very offended now. Why don't you make it up to them by giving each toe a big kiss." Tom looked ahead at the woman's toes and said "come on, just change me back." Ann looked off in the distance and said "I don't know, when your mother asks me if you were behaving yourself today, I could tell her that you did everything I asked, or I could say that you gave me a lot of trouble. Maybe she'll let me keep you longer if I say that you were bad......." Ann trailed off in her thoughts.
