Your boyfriend, Connor

You don't get a chance to make a decision, because just right then, Sammi's boyfriend Connor shows up with an ice cream cone in each hand.

"Sweetie," he says. "Are you okay?"

"Um..." God, you even have Sammi's voice. It sounds funny when it's coming out of your mouth, not at all like how she sounds in class. It's deeper, but still wistful, crackly, the voice of a daydreamer. You want to avoid talking as much as possible. "I'm fine," you mutter. "Just... lightheaded."

"I saw you get up," Connor says. "You looked like something stung you or 'somethin'. What freaked you out?"

"Nothing. I just... I dunno. I guess I'm just ready to go home."

"Well, have this first. That might make you feel better." Connor hands you the ice cream cone. You thank him and stare at it, not really in the mood to eat anything. Connor's bare stomach is just a few inches from your face, and he has a hand on your shoulder. He strokes it with his thumb, a sensation that makes you feel very weird.

If you and Sammi switched bodies, then Sammi, for some reason, doesn't seem to be freaking out in your body. You see yourself staring right in your direction, at you and Connor, and looking as bored as ever. It dawns on you that you might be the only person who's noticed that anything is different. The thought is terrifying and you're afraid you're going to pass out.

"Hey," Connor says, his arm deftly and casually slipping behind your back, bracing you as he helps you to your feet and uses his body to support you. You shake your head. "Sorry," you say. "I don't know what's wrong with me..."
