Something Else

Moriarty looked at his two specimens, now totally naked. Strictly speaking, the former male was biologically female now...having all the required parts below, although hardly looked it.

He programmed the probes to seek out memories of Stephen and the kids in Amanda's brain, and transfer them. Soon, Stephen's beloved wife wouldn't know him at all.

"Let's see what happens now," he said, looking forward to the spectacle on the closed circuit cameras.

Stephen awoke to his daughter shaking him. "Daddy, you fell asleep," she said.

He sighed. It was all a terrible nightmare. He sat up, yawning. "Where's Mommy?"

"She's in the bedroom sleeping," she said.

Stephen tiptoed in, and sat down on the bed next to the sleeping form.
