Mitchell did a quick body check of the young woman across the counter. Lorraine had noticed his eyes scanning the pretty girl and she had shot a dirty look in his direction, but he chose to ignore her. Very nice body he thought as he answered her question. “Yes, Heidi. We need a room please. Do you have smoking rooms?”
Lorraine interjected sharply, “Mitchell, we have had this conversation already. You are quitting remember. That’s WHY we’re staying here for a couple of days, so the house can be cleaned. Miss, that will be a NON-smoking room.”
Heidi raised an eyebrow but continued having learned to stay out of such arguments. Several minutes later she had entered all the information that was needed and handed a key to the Pettis’ and directed them toward the elevators and their room. Dr Moriarty scanned over the entry from his office. Early 40’s he noticed of their ages. This was right in line with what he was looking for. A couple that had many years of marriage and plenty of ‘baggage’ under their belts. An angle to work with he thought.
Dr Moriarty got up and headed out planning to personally meet the Pettis’.
