At the Restuarant

"Are you sure?" Luis pressed, trying to meet her eyes
"I'm...fine. I'm just fine."
"Come on Hannah, I know you. Listen, I didn't mean to startle you back there... I... I don't know what I was thinking."
Hannah stared down at the checkered table cloth intently. "Let's just put it behind us."
Luis looked at her again, still searching for more of a response. Hannah suddenly looked up, right into his eyes. She had never noticed how pretty his eyes were...staring right at her. She blushed "let's uh... let's get some food."
Luis smiled. They split a pizza. Both of them liked veggie pizza, always had. They talked about cheer leading pratice and one of Hannah's friends, Mandy, who'd been fighting with another boy who Luis knew. By the end of their time together everything felt back to normal. They split the bill almost evenly, Luis left a tip for their waitress.
They walked outside to find it raining. Hannah takes an unmbrella out of her hand bag. "Let's walk to my house. You left your clothes and your back pack there" As they walk, Luis felt a familiar shyness come over him. He started watching Hannah's lips as she talked, only to look away when she looked right at him.
Hannah ran upstairs to get his stuff. Out on the porch she handed him his clothes and her umbrella... their eyes met for a moment and they both paused.
