A few minutes later, Luis came out of the bathroom, fully clothed. "Ready?" He asked. "Huh?" She said, still concentrating on what had just happened. "Are you ready to leave?" He asked. "Oh! Sure, let me just get a sweater if it gets-" He stopped her. "Don't worry, it's not going to get cold," He walked over to her door, and opened it. He smiled. She gave a shakey smile back, trying to forget the most embarrassing moment in her entire life.
At the diner, they found a small booth close to the window. "What are you going to have?" He asked, taking the menu that had been placed between the salt and pepper holder, and the window. "I don't..know. I guess I'll have to look at it," She said taking a menu, and glancing through it. "Are you alright?" He asked calmly. Why was he acting as though nothing happened? She wondered. Is he acting like it's my fault? Was it my fault? "Yeah, I'm fine," She replied.
