The sound was very familiar, someone calling for help, help that most people wouldn't give, especially since the person calling for help was an old woman, and human at that.
She was surounded by for or five young man between the ages of twenty and thirty, and they were looking at her with a look that John knew well, the look of those who killed for the sake of killing, not even to eat the person.
Where another person would of just kept walking, or maybe assisted the attackers, John was raised to protect those who couldn't protect themselves.
Then again, he had a feeling that he knew this woman.

"Hey," he said, as he walked up to the group of people. "Need some help?"
"Nope," said the man who appeared to be the leader of the group. "Me and my friends are having a bit of fun with the old broad."
"Actually, I was talking to the woman that you are bothering," John said, causing the group to turn around.
"Well," said the leader. "You seem to care about the old bitch. What is she to you, your mother?"
"No, she is my sister," John said, as he looked at each of them, noting where they were, what they were, and who they were. "I see that you don't recognize me boys," he said, with a cocky grin, that said, "Want to go for round two?"
At this, most of the group backed off, one saying, "I wouldn't mess with him boss. I know him. He killed a teacher back when we were in the fifth grade."
"Ha," the leader said. "Are you afraid of a tall human? Cowards, I guess that I'll kill him myself."
With that, the man, a lizard-like creature rushed him. However, John delivered a powerful punch to his chest, and busted a few of of the man's ribs.
"Impossible," the man said, as he started to cough up bood. "No human can beat me."
"I never said that I was human," John said, as he dropped the man's body. "I only said that the woman was my sister. Now, that injury of yours is survivable if you are taken to the hospital within twenty minutes. Otherwise, tell the Prince of Hell that John Wolfstone sends his regards."

John then looked at the others.
"Well, what are you waiting for, a written invitation?" he asked, as he looked them in the eyes. "Take him to the hospital before he bleeds to death."
At this, the others picked their leader up and started to carry him away.
John then looked at the older woman, his sister, and said, helping her to pick up her dropped groceries, "Hey Samantha, sorry about that."
