John Admits His Identity

by: The Grand One Author IconMail Icon
         “My name is John.”

The girl squinted her eyes as she leaned in for a closer look. Then she closed her eyes as her nostrils expanded. After a brief moment of awkwardness, the girl’s eyes flew open as she looked John square in the eye and asked almost accusingly “you wouldn’t happen to be John Wolfstone would you?”

John nodded his head and made a quick glance at the German dragon as if to say “You know my name. You know my reputation. Don’t piss me off.”

At this, the little girl leaned back and placed her hands on her hips as she looked him up and down some more. “Not bad” she said with a slightly lustful tone and flirtatious smile.

Being something of a celebrity, John was used to such things, but not from minors. It wasn’t the first time as all school girls have strange crushes at one point or another. But something was off about the way this child was acting. She wasn’t pretending to be mature like most girls her age would. She didn’t need to pretend.

Thoroughly bored with the whole ordeal the German dragon interjected with “May I leave then.”

The dragon’s deep rumbling voice caught John by surprise. He had almost completely forgotten the man was standing there. “What? Oh yeah. Sure.” The dragon walked around the couple as John refused to take his eyes off the girl, insisting to himself that there was something strange about her.

The girl’s head suddenly jerks in the direction of the dragon who has made it half way down the block, then adjusts her body to face the same direction. Without looking at John she smiled a ridiculously large and creepy smile and asked “Ya wanna see something funny?”

John Wolfstone could only stand in awe at what happened next.

The girl’s right arm shoots out with her hand flattened and fingers pressed together. “Hail Hitler!” She announces. A bright light and ear piercing scream catch John’s attention. He looks toward its source and sees that a small section of the pavement has caught a blaze. The flames die quickly and when they do, all that remains is the smoldering corpse of what used to be a German dragon.

The girl, in response to her own actions, laughs hysterically.
