"You don't even know where it came from and you want to use it on me?" Squall asked, amazed.
"I had Doctor Odine check it. He says it's perfectly safe," Rinoa assured him, holding the morph materia worrying close for Squall's liking.
"Doctor Odine. Great. The man's insane. I'm not doing this."
Rinoa's face fell. It had been several months since Ultimecia's defeat and, with peace declared across the planet, life had become remarkably dull in Balamb Garden. She had hoped the new tricket, which she'd found and quickly discovered was capable of morphing things, would liven things up. Once again, Squall was sucking the fun clean out of anything.
Squall saw her crestfallen expression and conceeded. "You're sure it's safe?"
"Absolutely! I even tried it on Angelo and she's fine!" she lied.
"Fine," Squall said, deciding it must be safe it that were the case; she would never do anything to risk hurting Angelo.
"Okay, hold still," Rinoa ordered, touching him lightly on the arm.
