Lunch period is all day!

Wendy walked into her classroom, but she was surprised to find it was replaced with a huge cafeteria. On the way in, she and everyone else were handed large lunch trays.
A whiteboard at the end of her table read "Today's assignment: Eat no less than 10,000 calories.
"What's going on?" She said.
A girl across from her replied "Just a normal day, like any other."
"Don't we read books or do math or anything?"
"Why would we do that? The only books we're taught to read are cookbooks. And what's math?"
"I think I like this"
A bell then rang. At once, everyone got up and filled their plates with food in a buffet line that went around the whole cafeteria. Wendy just followed along.
There was no fruit or vegetables, just deep fried foods, burgers, pastries, pizza, and pastas.
Wendy followed along and filled her plate with burgers, fries, soda, and a few slices of cake. She sat down and started in, like all the other kids. She then helped herself to seconds, then thirds, and so on. This went on for six hours, before school was finally dismissed. All the students were handed slips of paper with grades on them. She read hers.
"A+, 15,000 calories consumed. Great work, Wendy!"
She looked down at her shirt. It was bulging at the buttons and it looked like they could pop at any moment. She was completely stuffed.
