"Why are you taller?" you suddenly blurt, not being able to take it anymore. "Ant? what are you talking about?" she ask innocently, wearing the same sweet smile. uuhhh, never mind you start to say, but you stop yourself. "Emily. Please. I've known you long enough to be able to tell when you're lying." you say, trying to sound serious, "...especially when it's as obvious as the height which you stand." Emily's smile slowly fades... "Oh... I guess Dani was right... It was stupid of me to try to hide it..." she says, sounding kind of depressed. "It's fine." you say, awkwardly trying to hug her over her shoulder like normal, "I'm not mad that you tried to lie to me, I'm more of just confused... I've heard of a growth spurt, but this is ridiculous."
"I've seen how you look at Suzy... I assumed you like her because she's tall... so..." she says in the same tone of melancholy. You blink as if you didn't hear her. "I'm sorry Em... I don't really follow... how are you growing?" Emily sighs, "Wow you're dense... anyways..." she reaches into her cleavage, and pulls out a strange necklace, the end seems to have some kind of red gem... a ruby maybe, you're not really sure. "This here is a part of the Valkyrie stone. According to legend, it's apparently made from the blood of SigrĂșn, and is supposed to give women untold power... or something, I'm not really sure." you just kind of stand there, dumbfounded. "Valkyrie... you mean, like from Greek myths?" you ask. Emily just sighs, "Norse." she corrects, "and yeah. I'm not surprised if you don't want to believe it, I certainly didn't when I was told, but... ever since I started wearing it, I've been growing... so...there's your reason."
She puts back on her smile from before. "So, lunch later?"
