Link, with a deep breath, chose to step out and get the giant Rito girl's attention. She was big enough to easily crush him, but he knew she was his only hope of escaping this place. So, he waited until Medli was just passing the cluster of bomb flowers, then he stepped out from behind the bomb flower and began to yell. The half-bird half-girl stopped in her tracks, looking around in surprise.
"That... That voice," she murmured. "That sounds so familiar... Isn't that Link's voice?"
Link continued to shout, and at long last, Medli seemed to realize that the voice came from somewhere on the ground. She turned and looked towards the cluster of bomb flowers, and her big red eyes fell on the shrunken form of Link.
The young Rito looked at Link for a few moments before suddenly gasping, covering her mouth with a hand. Link simply waved at her, but did not move from his spot as the Rito girl stepped towards him, her talons clacking on the stone ground as she made her way over to him. Soon, she loomed over Link, and he stared up at this building sized girl in silent awe. She seemed so much bigger up close... and more frightening. When he interacted with her earlier, she seemed friendly enough, but considering that he was the size of a doll compared to her right now, he found it hard to not be scared of her.
After gazing down at Link for a few moments, Medli crouched, her red eyes squinting as she examined him. Link remained silent and motionless, waiting to see how the Rito would react. He got his answer when she reached down towards him with a white-feathered arm. Link realized that Medli was about to grab him, but he still did not move, knowing that he had to be brave and trust the girl, as she was his only hope of escaping this place. So, he stayed motionless, allowing the hand to reach him. The fingers curled and tightly enclosed the tiny boy in a fist before lifting him off the ground and bringing him up to the face of the Rito girl. Her big red eyes examine him closely, and after a few moments, she spoke up at last.
"Y-you really are Link!" she exclaimed, the mouth beneath her beak nose hanging open in shock. "But... How did you shrink? What happened to you?"
Link, resisting the urge to squirm in Medli's tight grasp, told her about the cyclone and how it shrunk him and sent him here. Medli listened closely before replying...
