A few days after Ash won his final Frontier Symbol, Ash and his friends were staying at a Pokémon Center as they continued traveling through the Kanto Region. Ash felt very accomplished about having all 7 Symbols, since Scott mentioned so few ever got Brandon’s Symbol.
May had decided to head on up to her room earlier before supper. Max took this time to sit next to Ash in the lobby, getting his attention.
“Hey Ash, doesn’t May seem to be acting different lately?” asked Max
“Now that you mentioned it, she has acting a bit weird,” replied Ash, having noticed May, at odd times, looking at other girls a little longer than normal, and even checking herself out in a few mirrors when she thought she was alone, “I’ll go and check on her, how does that sound?”
“Thanks Ash. It might feel weird if I ask her about it.” smiled Max as he went back to what he was doing before.
With that, Ash left the lobby to head to May’s room, as it had been nearly half an hour since May went up.

May had finished her shower already, but took her time drying off, enjoying the feeling of her body. She didn’t understand why she had grown so attracted to other girls, as well as her own body, though it may have to do with the memories she’d been seeing as of late. Memories of being Ash, all 13 years of memories from his perspective. May realized how much Ash had done, and not just for her. Her feelings for Ash before were but a fraction of what she was feeling now, plus with her newfound attraction towards women, she felt like her crush on Drew was wrong. He was still a good coordinator, friend, and rival, but feeling any romantic feelings towards him felt like sucking on a rotten lemon now. After drying off, she had just stayed in her panties, enjoying fondling her boobs, when she heard her door open.
She froze as she saw Ash come in and froze himself, seeing May, half naked, fondling her boobs in front of a mirror.
Ash slowly closed the door behind him, and gestured for them to take a seat, “Care to explain?”
May complied after getting dressed and sat next to Ash.
“I guess it all started after the Tree of Beginnings. I started having weird dreams. Dreams of you, and your life, including the start of your journey,” explained May, “I saw how Pikachu wasn’t always your friend. I saw how you battled Brock, Misty, Lt. Surge… everyone. I saw how you helped out so many people and Pokémon. I saw how you and Misty interacted. How you never kissed her is beyond me.”
Ash had the decency to blush at that.
“More and more, I didn’t feel like May anymore, but Ash in May’s body. I still have all of May’s memories, but Ash is the one in control, and May is now a part of this version of Ash,” continued Ash/May, “I hope that makes sense.”
“It does sound different than when Manaphy used Heart Swap, so I doubt that’s what happened here, as we never swapped,” said Ash, “And as for Misty; honestly, it never felt like the right time. Even when she left to be the Primary Gym Leader of Cerulean, it didn’t feel right. How could I make her choose between me and her home? To make her wait until I happen to visit her in between regional travels.”
“From how May interacted with her, she would try to get her sisters to take the Gym back, especially if she knew you wanted her to stay,” informed Ash/May, “And let’s not forget the other girls who have shown an interest in you, like Macy and Anabel. You’ve saved the world multiple times. I’m sure a few girls would be willing to share your love with other girls.”
Ash didn’t know how to feel about that. He was barely a teenager, and he didn’t understand girls in the slightest. How is he supposed to navigate a relationship with them when he was still learning himself?
To help settle any doubts about May’s feelings, Ash/May brought Ash into a Kiss. It was short, but full of love.
After they broke apart, a flash of light filled the room.
