It was at this time that Iruka finally entered the classroom. One look was all he needed to know that something big had just happened and that he needed to get it sorted out before they continued.
It took a bit but, Iruka had managed to get the class to settle down and quickly questioned some of the students to learn what happened. Now he was at an impasse. Naruto was originally slated for Team 7 but, with the knowledge that Sakura was so determined to make a meal of him and their sensei's habit of being hours late, Iruka knew that putting Naruto on that team was tantamount to a death sentence. So using his authority as teacher of the class, Iruka could overrule the team selections once and change them has he felt was needed. This just left one problem; who to place as Naruto's last teammate? Hinata was a no brainier once Naruto told him all of what had happened so far. He also made sure to give him a good teacher in one Kurenai Yūhi. The women would make sure Naruto was at least taught and cared for, even if only to prove that she could.
As much as he didn't want to, Iruka could only find one person to put on their team that wouldn't over power it or leave the other teams lacking. So after calling team 7 which consisted of Sasuke Uchiha, Kiba Inuzuka, and Ino Yamanaka under Kakashi Hatake; he began on team 8. "Team 8. Your sensei is Kurenai Yūhi. The members are: Naruto Uzumaki," he saw Naruto perk up from his seat next to Hinata. "Hinata Hyuga," Iruka had to fight to keep down the smile he felt coming as the two looked at each other, the joy in their faces clearly able to be seen even from the other side of the room. But as they say, all good things come to an end. "And Sakura Haruno.”
Iruka winced internally as he saw Naruto and Hinata’s expressions quickly change from joyful to horrified. Their faces paled and their eyes widened as they looked over at their new teammate. A low rumble was heard coming from Sakura clearly showing what thought of the team arrangements. Iruka could do nothing but, give the two a look that showed how sorry he was at putting them on the same team before continuing. As he finished up the teams he began his speech about how proud he was of them and so on. Mentally he was hoping that Kurenai was a punctual as she always was.
