You spend the morning in the darkness and dust beneath the wardrobe, attempting to come to terms with your strange, new body. With eight eyes to work with, your sight is fragmented and neuseatingly complex to understand, and it takes all your coordination to get your eight long hair-coated legs to work properly. You spent a lot of time stumbling around in circles, but slowly you are getting to grips with it.
It would be a good idea to be able to walk properly, before even attempting to scale a wall or brave the huge world beyond the wardrobe. Your body is currently less than a centimeter in height and an inch in length; the bedroom looms over your tiny body like an entire world.
Your many legs pad through the thick layer of dust as you approach the skirting board, confident in your first attempt at verticle walking. You rest your first pair of legs against the wall, then your second pair, then shift your weight and press your final four legs against the wall. And then you're doing it! You're walking straight up a verticle surface. The sense of freedom is stunning.
You hear a noise from downstairs as you move from the smooth skirting board to the textured and much easier wallpaper, beginning your ascent in earnest. It seems your wife has returned from school. Time to make your grande appearance.
