Well would you look at that? A hitchhiker, way out here in the middle of no where! He seemed to have found the only clump of trees and bushes within 50 miles to shelter under, which is lucky for him, since the sun is brutal today.

Max always loves hitchhikers. They're always a lot of fun. They make for interesting conversation to pass the doldrums, and no one ever misses them if Max get's bored with them.
