Bryan was sitting in class trying to concentrate on the lesson when his cellphone rang. Bryan checked his phone to see it was Max calling and he dared not miss the call.
"Excuse me sir, I gotta take this!" Bryan said shooting to his feet and running out of the class and into the hallway," Max?"
"Bryan, about time you answered," Max said gruffly on the phone.
"Sorry sir, I am in class," Bryan said trying to explain himself.
"Why do you go to school anyway, you're already too smart for your own good," Max asked in a dismissive tone.
"What's up, Max?" Bryan asked cutting to the point.
"Oh, I'm going to be late getting home," Max said," There was an accident at work."
"Oh my gosh, what happened?! Are you alright?" Bryan exclaimed, his feelings for the big man poking through.
"Yeah, I'm fine," Max said nonchalantly.
Bryan kind of figured, he had never seen Max injured beyond minor cuts. There was this one time he came back from a bar fight with a few bruises, but the other guy left in a stretcher.
"I was lighting my farts on fire and it set off an explosion," Max said with an almost giggle to his voice.
"Oh Jesus," Bryan sighed," So why haven't they released you?"
"Oh, seems like my blood is the universal donor, so I'm letting them suck me dry," Max explained," The cookies aren't too bad here."
"Hopefully they gain some of your durability," Bryan said.
"Yeah, hopefully," Max said.
Little did either of them know that Max's blood would cause a reaction to the recipients that would cause them to become more like Max. Think what happened to Jennifer Walters when she got a blood transfusion from her cousin Bruce Banner, aka The Hulk and became She Hulk.
Is the transformation fast, or slow?
