Pushing aside whatever odd feelings you felt a second ago, you continued on your walk home, thinking often of the girl from earlier but not as hard as before.
As you walked home, you happened to pass by your next door neighbor, Jenny. She was about your age and in your grade. Thankfully, she was actually one of the few people to treat you nicely.
"Hi Alex!" she called over, waving a bit as she did.
"Hello" you said, a little shy as you said that. Few girls ever talked to you, so you were always a little shy when Jenny wanted to talk.
"You doing ok?" she asked, a hint of concern in her voice.
"Nah, I'm ok" you replied quickly, not wanting to ruin the mood. Jenny looked at you strangely, but decided to let it go.
"Really? You're ok? Well if you say so" she said. After that, she had to get back home to get some work done, so she went ahead and got to her own house.
"Man, will I ever be able to talk to her normally" you sighed as your continued on your way.
Eventually, you got to your front door and unlocked it, unaware of what was to come. Mor odd feelings began to surround you as you entered.
