"So... um... how does this redemption work, exactly?" Darkly curious, I asked.
"All who fall into hell can find their way to Heaven, the door is always open." Smiling, Daddy explained. "All that stops them is their own inner guilt; their belief that they cannot be redeemed or forgiven."
"So they relive their sins over and over..." Shocked, I muttered.
Daddy nodded. "Those who find it within themselves to ask for forgiveness, to ask to redeem themselves will find the open door." Calmly, he said. "I was an unfortunate exception to that rule."
"What happened...?" Worried, I asked.
"In a nutshell, I decreed that I could do a better job than my father so he gave me the role of ruling Hell so I could prove it." Sadly, Daddy replied. "I accepted it, my pride blinding me to the fact that what I taken on was easier to get into than to get out of."
"What role do I play in all of this?" Gulping, I asked.
Daddy sighed. "With you comes a difficult choice; a choice you must make." Softly, he said. "You will have to choose to accept me as..."
