you open the large, old chest and see devil fruit, lots of them. then you spot a book that had the jolly roger drawn to it. you stared at the jolly roger on it and realized that it look scary, it looked like a monster's face or possibly loooked like the calling card of the devil himself. you shake your head and say that a drawing can't hurt you. then you open the book and see that it is a book of devil fruits, each one having a drawing and it's name one the pages. sadly it doesn't tell exactly what it does, apparently because no one has eaten any of the fruit. you put the book back and close the chest. you just got to find some kind of information about this ship and what happened to them, you didn't even see a corpse around here. you figure since you were in the captains room you'll find a logbook of some kind in here. and you find it on a desk, a black book with LOG BOOK sewed on to it. you read it from begining to the last entry. the captain's name was Richard Flane, it said that he had 53 crewmates on his ship, as for his demise it said in the last entry, "our log pose broke ever since we crossed the red line and have now entered some sort of cursed sea, many of my men have been taken by some bird like creature and some kind of giant squid. i only hope that is the last we hear of the monsters but i fear that it will happen again as we are still sailing the nightmarish waters. i promise that if we ever get out of these waters that i will-" and then it ends there. but then how did it get to the east blue?
you hear a terrible noise and realize that you haven't eaten in many hours. but everything is moldy and rotten. the only thing you can think of eating is the devil fruit, but you can't eat all of them. you remeber from watching one piece that if eat more than one of them that you will die. and also that when eat one you will never be able to swim.
oh well, you never did learn how to swim anyways. you look through the book and read each of the devil fruits. thats when you decide to eat the....
