Guilt

As her anger dissipated, she cupped her mouth with one hand and fell to her butt in the middle of the street. Bodies were strewn everywhere, and she could see blood on her hands and shoes. She wanted to throw up, but she managed to swallow it back. The screams of those around her confirmed that whatever had happened wasn't just growth. She had become a monster.
Knowing she'd be hunted down for sure, Lindsay stood up and ran back into her yard and easily hopped the fence. She looked for the best place to run off to, and she figured her only choice was to leave town. With one look back at her old life, Lindsay began her trek through the other suburbs, her new size making the journey extremely quick. Her presence was followed with fear and screams from anyone who saw her, but she ignored it as she kept to her task.
In no time, she had reached the freeway. She decided to follow it for a while before she followed a side road into the countryside. She had no idea how much time had passed, but the sun began to set as she reached what looked to be an abandoned barn. It looked more than big enough for her, and it looked like no one had followed her.
With a sigh, she broke the latch without any effort and slid the doors open with her hand. Now that she had time to decompress, her awe at her size and strength was returning. What might have taken considerable effort at her old height took little to none with one hand of hers. On her hands and knees now, she crawled into the barn and laid out, happy to see that her whole body fit in. She could comfortably lay inside or sit up, but standing was far out of the question.
Night fell as Lindsay laid her head on some hay to try and sleep, but visions of the cops and soldiers being killed haunted her. She silently wept, each death looming over her as she tried in vain to sleep. Before long though, sleep did find her, but it was filled with nightmares of what she had become
