Chapter #6

New friend

    by: Unknown
A great deal of light woke her up, and she groaned as she moved her hand to block it out. Something broke as she did so, and she felt something collapse due to her movements. Now a bit more awake, she tried sitting up, only to see that her head and shoulders had burst through the wall, and her arm had just broke through the side. She could also feel her legs trapped in the doorway. Half her body was trapped in the barn as it was clear she had grown by a lot.

Along with this new height, she noticed a young man sitting on a broken tractor, eyeing her with curiosity. She panicked a bit, but calmed when she noticed how he wasn't afraid. He looked around her age, and he had black hair with blue eyes. Quite a striking young man, and in another life she would have tried to flirt with him. Now though, she knew she'd never be her old self again. After a minute of the two staring at each other, the young man spoke.

"Morning. Looks like you're a bit stuck." Lindsay raised her head a bit and nodded.

"Yeah. Would you believe I wasn't this big last night?"

"Yep. I heard you growing and moaning last night. Came out here just before you woke up." Lindsay blushed as he spoke. Had she really moaned during her growth? Did that mean she...no, she wasn't finding pleasure from it was she?

"Sorry. I don't have control over this. It's all really new to me."

"Oh yeah? You haven't always been this big?"

"Uh, well no."

"Just messing with you. You don't act like a giant from those fairy tales. You're not saying 'fee fi fo fum' or anything. So, what made you this big then?"

"Well, a meteor I think." The young man nodded, his eyes now looking from her head to her feet.

"Hmm...and what's your name giant lady?"

"Linday...yours?"

"Chase. Well now, Lindsay, let's see about getting you out."

"Oh, I can do it myself. Just not with you so close." Chase nodded, understanding what was about to do. Once he was further away, Lindsay groaned a bit as she fought the barn. With a bit of effort, she managed to sit up, the walls and roof collapsing on top of her as she brushed the remains away. Now free again, Lindsay stood to her full height and wiped her clothes of the dust from the barn. With the damage done, Chase came back and began to walk around her.

"Wow! You're a lot bigger than you looked before!" Lindsay agreed. Chase wasn't even tall enough to pass her ankle, which confirmed to her just how big she was. She was easily around 60 feet tall now.

"Well...I guess I need a new place to stay then."

"Oh! You can come to my place! It's not a long walk for you. I'd just ask that you carry my truck." Lindsay nodded, glad to have a friend now.
