Testing out the Glutton Charm

Vanguard decided to head to Fiery Dragon, the tavern known for serving the spiciest food in all of Big Fat Pig City. After arriving at Fiery Dragon, Vanguard pondered how he should test the Glutton charm.
How should I test this charm. I could use it to eat a very spicy dish, However, let's test this thing for real. the Fiery Dragon is notorious for their Scorcher Challenge. If this Glutton Charm is able to stand up to the Scorcher Challenge not only can I get a free meal, but a prize of 10,000 gold.
Vanguard walks up to the counter.
"Hello sir. What would you like to order?" a serving wench asked.
"I would like to take on the Scorcher Challenge," Vanguard said.
The wench's eyes widen. "Are you sure about that sir? The only person who has taken on the Scorcher Challenge is the Tyrant! Such a feat is almost impossible for an ordinary man," the wench said.
"We'll have to see about that," Vanguard said.
The serving wench sighs. "If you insist sir, but be warned. Many have failed at completing the Scorcher Challenge. If you fail to complete the Scorcher Challenge you will have to pay 1000 gold."
The serving wench guided Vanguard to a large table. After Vanguard took his seat he slipped on the Glutton Charm. Within a matter of seconds a few chefs brought out the spiciest dishes that Vanguard saw. The whole spread was probably somewhere between 5-10 pounds altogether.
"You have fifteen minutes to eat everything on the table. If you complete the challenge in fifteen minutes your meal is free and you will receive 10,000 gold as a prize. Do you understand?" the wench asked.
"I do," Vanguard said.
Before the wench could tip over the hour glass Vanguard began chowing down. Vanguard consumed his food like he hadn't eaten in days. Thirteen minutes later Vanguard finished the Scorcher Challenge. The crowd around the table were surprised that someone other than the Tyrant was able to complete the Scorcher Challenge.
"Congratulations sir. As promised your meal is free and you get 10,000 gold," the wench said.
The owner of the Fiery Dragon hands Vanguard his gold.
"Congratulations sir. If there's men like you who could take down my spiciest dishes I may have to think of a new challenge."
"If the day comes I'll be ready," Vanguard said.
Vanguard test his chestful of 10,000 gold and proceeds to exit the Fiery Dragon. Before he got to the door he was stopped by a woman wearing a red cape.
"Hold on a moment, sir. Is that a magical charm around your neck? To the common people they won't know the difference between a necklace and a magic charm. Using magic items to win competitions is kind of shallow."
"I recently got this charm for saving a caravan mistress. I was just testing to see how it works," Vanguard said.
The woman puts to fingers on her chin in contemplation. "By the look of things you have very little exposure to magic. Some people can get addicted to the stuff if it's not used in moderation. That charm you have won't cause magical weight gain, but the food you consume while wearing it can. And to make matters worse the weight gain is all natural. But who am I to judge. I recently moved to this city, but it's obvious that this Tyrant person is a dragon."
Vanguard blinks in confusion. "How do you know that the Tyrant is a dragon?"
"Let's just say I've traveled to a lot of places. Your town has all the hallmarks of being taken over by a dragon. See you later."
The woman walks out of the Fiery Dragon leaving Vanguard confused.
Who was that woman? It's probably not worth over thinking. I have to get home and take off this charm. Once I take it off I'll be feeling everything that I ate and more.
