"You're a boy?" Sarah asks. "Why are you wearing a dress?"
"Some boys don't like the same things other boys do." Her mother tries to explain in terms a 6 year-old would understand. "They like the things that girls like."
"Like pretty dresses and dolls?" Sarah asks.
"Exactly." Ms Thompson says. "Now you can't tell anyone that Danielle is really a boy."
"Why not?" Sarah asks.
"Because some other boys don't like it when a boy wears dresses and play with dolls." Her mother explains. "They might hurt Danielle."
"Okay." Sarah accepts this. "I won't tell anyone."
"Good girl." Her mother says.
After dinner Ms Thompson tells Sarah. "Time to get you ready for bed." She leads Sarah back to her room while you and Felicity head into the living room.
"Why didn't you want to share my room?" she teases. "It would be like having a sleepover every night. Girls lover sleepovers unless..." She pretends to think for a moment. "You're a bedwetter aren't you. That's the only reason a girl would be scared of having a sleepover."
