"It's... no problem," you nod, a little awkwardly, not sure quite what 'help' you're supposed to have provided here. "It's cool. But... do you need any help now... like, your mum maybe?"
Laura smiles considerately at your awkwardness,
"Relax; there's no rush. These diapers work. They can go hours without changing, and still be completely comfortable."
"Oh, right," you blush, wondering how that could be possible, or how Laura can be quite so offhand about it all. "I can't say I know that much about diapers..."
Laura grins, apparently enjoying herself, far from any embarrassment. That makes the matter far easier for you as well, somehow.
"Well, I do, obviously," she nods. "Trust me, this is way better than the alternatives. Proper adult diapers like this are really effective, and very comfortable. Not like getting winched onto the commode in my bedroom, or having to go mountaineering all the way up to our lovely 'special needs' bathroom, with all the hoists and stuff up there."
You haven't seen the bathroom yet, yourself, though you'll probably have to pay a visit pretty soon. Before this current break is over would probably be a good idea.
"What are you two talking about?" Laura's mother frowns suspiciously, making a sweeping return to the room with a tray of drinks and biscuits, and no doubt noting your blushing face immediately.
"Diapers," chuckles Laura shamelessly.
"Laura," her mother reproaches, setting down a drink in front of her with a tall flexible straw, "I hope you're not trying to make our guest uncomfortable!"
"No," Laura shrugs, guilelessly. "I just thought he might as well know now, if he's going to be sticking around. He said it's cool."
"Cool, huh?" her mother cocks an eye at you, clearly taking that quote to mean 'cool' as in 'pop idol awesome' rather than 'no problems'.
