I will have one or two

"Well...I think maybe one or two might be okay," Sarah replied as she sat down on the couch.

Adam went and dished up the cookies onto a plate, and then set it on the kitchen table with some milk as well as some tea. The tea was for himself, and he had the feeling Sarah might like the milk.

"Well...aren't you prepared...what a good soldier," Sarah responded.

"Prepared, oh yes dear. Soldier? Not so much so, though I was a nurse back in the day."

Adam stopped for a moment to consider that comment, as Sarah thought about her comment. However, the smell of the cookies distracted both, and before they knew it the cookies were gone, Sarah had down her milk and Adam was on a second cup of tea.

"Well, thanks for the treat," Sarah told him.

"My pleasure," Adam replied, and feel free to stop by anytime honey.

Sarah then headed out the door, and Adam cleaned things up. Before long, it was....
