The gun had zapped Amy. Almost instantaneously the girls felt their brains swap. Amy went into Rouge's svelte, seductive bat body and Rouge went into Amy's fattened, hedgecat one.
The first one to react was Rouge, who immediately felt her massive new weight and half-transformed body.
"What the heck did that ray do to me?" Rouge asked, hearing Amy's voice instead of hers. "And why do I sound like that bratty hedgehog Amy?"
"Amy?" Sonic asked worriedly. "You okay?"
"Amy? Sonic it's me Rouge. And what're you doing here? I was talking with Tails and now I feel like a cow."
"Pretty close guess. I think you swapped bodies with Amy." Sonic said pointing her to a mirror. Rouge gasped.
"It was bad enough when I thought I was just her, but why is her body so fat and..catty?"
"Beats me. But we need to find her and Tails if we wanna fix this." Sonic said, glad his date was disrupted.
Meanwhile in the sky Amy's curse was affecting her being in general, not just her body. So despite being inside Rouge's body, the curse was taking effect. Already Rouge's body was getting a catlike tail and whiskers, as well as packing on pounds. She was still just as dull witted and had hardly noticed the change.
"Huh? I feel funny..." Amy said in Rouge's voice, she then saw Tails. "Tails, have you seen Sonic?"
