I was breathing heavily and sweat was pouring off my body as I tossed the last bit of clothing in the drawer. It was at that instant, with me totally naked and in a major adrenaline rush that disaster struck! From across the room, my door suddenly flew open as Edith came rushing into the room.
“Karen! Are you here?” I heard my her say as she headed straight for my desk!
In my adrenaline clouded mind, all I could think to do was use the remote to get as small as possible! Holding it against me I pressed the button and watched the world around me get bigger and bigger. I was shrinking faster and faster, the floor sliding under my sweat drenched legs. I passed two feet, then one as my bosses legs appeared in front of my desk. Somewhere along the way the remote had become too heavy to lift and I let it go with a thud, leaning forward to put my body weight on the “fire” button. I didn’t know how small I was when my arms slid away from the colossal button, but I continued to get even smaller as I dashed away from the remote and into a narrow space between two boxes of paper. Panting, I struggled to collect myself as I heard Edith walking away. I had escaped!
