As the week went on Janet tried to study Jake to the best of her ability from afar, but she couldn't see any noticeable changes in his body. Perhaps her calculations were incorrect after all. Which is probably for the best since she hasn't even begun thinking about an antidote yet in case things got out of hand.
Janet turned her computer off and went to the kitchen for a snack. Shes been on that damned thing almost all day and hasn't eaten a thing, which was actually shocking for her since she tends to overeat. Stomach growling she heads to the kitchen to see Jake sitting at the counter. She pauses for a minute to see if hes any different. Its hard to tell with the baggy clothes he is wearing but she can't be certain. Jake looks her way and she quickly darts her eyes somewhere else in the room so he wouldn't know she was staring at him. She walks over to the fridge and pulls out a leftover Chinese takeout box from a couple of nights before, pops it in the microwave, then sits next to jake waiting for her food to heat up.
"Whats in that box?" Jake asked. "The extra egg rolls they gave us, they gave us alot." She responded.
Jake grimaced. "I don't know how you can stand those egg roll things sis, they disgust me. Expecially since they have been in the fridge for a few days now."
"Well I like them and they are still good."
The microwave beeped and she put them on a plate and sat next to Jake again. He looked at the plate disgusted then looked away again. Before she started to eat she looked at Jake and asked "Do we have any diet cokes left?" "Yeah theres a box in the garage."
She went out to grab one and to her surprise when she was back her egg rolls were gone!
"What the hell Jake you don't even like those" She said angrily. "Those actually smelled good, I don't know why." Jake said.
Janet didn't have time to tell him off. She looked at his stomach and was surprised at what she saw. He had... a pot belly. That definitly wasn't there before.
Perhaps he is gaining her tastes as well and indulging himself in things that she likes... must trigger the growth her calculations predicted!
She decides to try something to see if he would gain more weight.
