A week later and it became obvious that the cub's diet was not the cause of his growing girth. During that time the cub's belly had continued growing larger despite eating less than before. Fortunately Simba unusually tiredness had ended and he seemed more excitable than before. Deciding to put this extra energy to use Simba played all day with through the day, exploring the jungle while doing so. It was a little odd seeing the cub run around with his engorged belly hampering his movements, bulging out the sides a little and pointing towards the ground. Occasionally the young lion's belly would prevent him from reaching some new place and making it hard to leap.
