Josh saw how Earl was pushed against the wall, with Ben and Charles teasing him. He was about to shout something at them, when someone else said something first!
"HEY! Leave that altar boy alone!"
Earl, Josh, Ben and Charles all turned around to see Erin walk up to them. Erin was a girl from school, who was 12 years old. She also attended the parish and she knew a thing or two about martial arts! In fact, when she ran up to Earl, Josh knew everything about her. He was immediately relieved that he didn't need to use his powers directly in order to stop Ben and Charles from bullying Earl. However, he wanted to make sure that Erin was strong enough to handle both boys, so he increased Erin's skill level to a black belt.
"Okay. What is going in?" Erin said calmly, with Josh looking on from a distance.
"Nothing! Leave us alone! Get lost!" Ben growled.
"He is the altar boy for mass! Leave him alone!" Erin ordered. Then, she looked at Earl. "Come, Earl. You're coming with me!"
Ben then tried to push Erin away, but Erin grabbed his arm and pulled him forward while forcing his leg down, using her own legs. She knocked Ben to the ground in one swift move! Then, just as Charles was about to punch her, she punched him in the stomach and kicked him in his groin, leaving him cringing on the ground in pain.
"There! Like I said, come with me, Earl!" then Erin saw Josh. "You too, Josh! We need you two boys at mass! You need to light the candles at the altar!"
Erin walked in the middle with Earl on the left and Josh on her right, both altar boys holding her hands. Together, the boys walked back to the parish, looking up to Erin as their cool martial arts heroine!
