Go through the window and head down the ladder

Kenji decided that his best chance of survival was to get out of the pawn shop. He dropped his bat out the window and then slowly climbed down the later. As he descended down the ladder, he got a pretty good vantage of the streets and the aftermath of the chaos. There were wrecked or abandoned vehicles scattered here and there on the streets, there were several mangled corpses laying on the sidewalks, several nearby buildings had some serious structural damage. "I doubt that there are many people left after this disaster. But I pray that some were able to survive this nightmare." Kenji said as he reached the bottom of the ladder, leapt down onto the street, picked up his bat, and started walking among the destruction. For several minutes, Kenji walked in silence, gripping his baseball bat tightly. Then, suddenly,
