You walked into the mansion, every inch of your body was hurting from the number of dodgeballs you had been hit with. After the game, Scot had put his shades back on and you had all walked back into the mansion for dinner. You saw Rogue sitting alone. You sat down next to her. "What's up, Rogue?" you asked. "I don't know" said Rogue "I've hated my powers ever since I got them, this was my first chance to feel normal, and yet, I felt wrong without them out there" "Our powers are part of who we are" you say "I've hurt people with my powers as well, they manifested at the same time as an anti-mutant attack on my town, the mutants couldn't fight back and it was a slaughter, I had to leave my home, my family, to give the mutants there a fighting chance, so what about you, Rogue, what happened when your powers first manifested" "It happened on my first kiss" said Rogue "Xavier said mutant powers are triggered by moments of heightened emotional stress, that was mine" "What happened?" you asked. "I drained some of his lifeforce, he ended up in a coma for three weeks, whenever I touch someone, their memories stay with me, causing me to have terrible nightmares" "Your powers won't work around me" you say "For at least a while, until Xavier teaches me control, you won't have to worry about harming anyone" Rogue gave you a hug with her bare hands and arms, probably the first hug she had given anyone in a long time. "Thank you, Nathan" she said. "Nathan" said Xavier "Come with me, I need to tell you something" You go with Xavier along a corridor away from the dining room. "I think I've found a few more of your powers" said Xavier "Your ability is not just limited to mutant powers, you can shut down electrical power too, if you wanted to, you could shut down the electrical power in the entire state of New York" "Wow" you say. You didn't expect yourself to be that powerful. "There's more" said Xavier "You are able to temporarily take a mutant power away from someone, so they can no longer use it, this will only last twenty four hours, and you will have that power until then" "Isn't that dangerous?" you asked "If I absorbed Scot Summers and didn't have shades on, I could destroy someone" "There are also benefits to this" said Xavier "You could give Rogue a day with no powers, imagine the possibilities, some mutants with physical mutations could spend a day in human form" "I could do a lot of good" you say "How do I turn my powers off?"
