Damn, this was so easy in all those stories he'd read.
Ash had no Idea where she was heading, but hanging on was becoming increasingly difficult. His fingers were beginning to cramp up. By all rights he should have lost his grip and went flying with the first step Jane took. Must've been the adrenaline. He heard a door open and close. Outdoor sounds. Finally, she came to a stop. Thank goodness. His fingers were so stiff he couldn't bend them.
Ash struck his hands against Jane’s foot as hard as he could to get the feeling back in them. There was no reaction from her. That didn't surprise him at all. At his present size, he figured his punches were as effective as a wet noodle. Come to think of it, the wet noodle was probably more effective.
Ash heard a something being opened high above him, sounded like a mailbox. he wasted no time and climbed up the front of her foot to the tongue of the shoe. It took a few moments for his eyes to adjust to the bright light. Looking up at Jane he could see she was checking the contents of the mailbox.
"Bills, Bills, Junk..."
This was so surreal. Here he was no bigger than a ant sitting on the foot of a Person who shouldn't even exist in a real environment. Had to make a quick decision. She was going to be moving again any second, he could stay were he was and hold on as she walked back into the house, or he could get off and take his chances out in the lawn.
