Before Ash opened his eyes he knew something was wrong. The Air smelled of wood. Not the wood of a forest but the wood of a cabin. The ground felt hard and grooved. He opened his eyes, Blinked, Then sat up and questioned whether or not he was still unconscious and dreaming. What he was seeing was impossible, but there it was.
He was in a hallway. A vast wooden dimly lite hallway. Beside him was a potted plant that towered over him like a red wood tree. He could make out pictures on the walls, but instead of people he saw anthropomorphic rabbits. Maybe they were gag pictures like those dogs playing poker, but something told him that wasn't the case. Once again he questioned whether or not he was dreaming. He felt the floor he was laying on. It felt real, more real than any dream he'd ever had. With his brain still trying to grasp what he was seeing, he got to his feet. He was in the center of the hallway, with the walls on either side reaching up to a ceiling hundreds of feet above.
As he tried to decide what to do next, he felt a tremor through the floor. Then another stronger than before. He'd seen enough Godzilla and Jurassic Park movies to know what that was. He began to hear thundering footfalls, they sounded muffled like someone walking without shoes. There was a bright flickering light coming from behind. Turning into the direction of this new source of light his brain almost short circuited at what he saw. It was a giant anthropomorphic rabbit. Hundreds of feet tall at least, The giant was holding an enormous candle. The foot falls were slow but steady. Ash blinked. He knew this creature.
