This choice: "We're going to make repairs and pick up our other crewmember" • Go Back...Chapter #8"We're going to make repairs and pick u... by: metra "She said we're going to pick up Sadie, apparently she's concluding that deal today and is ready to rejoin us," Tammy explained.
"That was pretty quick, I figured that she'd need at least another day or two to find a buyer and turn a profit," Riley mused.
Tammy nodded, "That's what I thought too, but hey, if she can get the job done early and get back here sooner I'm not complaining."
"Ditto," Riley replied, "So do we have an E.T.A. for when we'll reach the station or are we waiting for her call?"
"At our present speed and course we'll intercept the station in orbit above Cotoul at 17:32 hours," Tammy replied.
Riley glanced down at her wrist which had a thin band around it, for a brief moment, it flashed the numbers 16:42 across it's surface. Riley then returned her attention to Tammy and nodded, "I'll be on the bridge at 17:00 to prep for arrival." Tammy gave a smile and a nod before waving her hand in a casual 'see ya around' motion. Deep down she actually wanted to spend more time with you, maybe even tease you a bit... but she had things to do before the arrival at the station and even if she didn't, Riley would make it very difficult for her to get away with too much before cutting her fun short.... she'd just wait for another opportunity.
After Tammy leaves, you are left feeling thoroughly confused about what's happening. "Riley?" You ask prompting the tiger to turn and look down at you with a curious expression. "What exactly is going on? What 'deal' was tammy talking about and who's Sadie?"
"Ah, Sadie is a member of our crew" Riley explained, She's not aboard right now and hasn't been for the past couple of days because she's been trying to find a buyer for a shipment of high grade navigational computers. According to what Tammy just told me, she's apparently found a buyer and making the sale today and she's ready for pickup."
"I think I understand," You mutter, "But I'm still a little confused as to why she's selling goods like that. I mean, wouldn't it be easier for the buyer to go to a company that actually makes the stuff? And why do you guys even sell things like that to begin with?" | Members who added to this interactive story also contributed to these: |
