This choice: A pleasant if still alien looking beach view. • Go Back... A picture perfect scene greeted you at the window: waves breaking on a sandy beach, a light wind rustling the trees dotted above the waterline, all with a sunny sky dotted with only a few puffy clouds. It was quite an idyllic view, but you couldn’t quite figure out where on Earth you were. You quickly noticed some signs that you likely weren’t on Earth though. For one thing, the water looked almost golden with purplish foam atop the waves and where they hit the sand. The sand itself wasn’t right either, being a dark blue rather than any of the usual colors of sand. Similarly unusual were the trees, they looked a bit like palm trees, but you had never heard of a tree having gray leaves like that or trees having what looked like a bush sprouting about halfway down the trunk.
“I’m not on Earth any more, am I?” you asked more than a little numb with the realization.
“No, you are not,” the cow responded plainly and letting that hang in the air
She then grabbed your arm and pulled you along again without another word, obviously in a rush to get wherever the two of you were supposed to go. Along the way, you heard snippets of conversations behind closed doors or down other hallways, but couldn’t hear enough to make sense of whatever was being said.
Several minutes later, the cow brought you through another door, this time leading outside. You found yourself on a patio overlooking the beach just a short distance beyond. The furniture dotted around was recognizable if not quite totally familiar. The cow stopped only briefly, glancing about before pulling you towards one of the seats closest to the sand. A large umbrella – made to let some but not all of the sun’s light through – shaded the seat. The seat was large enough that you could tell that someone was sitting in it, but not who or what they were. A few paces from the seat, the cow motioned for you to stay there before taking the last couple of steps on her own.
“I have brought the human as you requested,” she said respectfully, bowing so low that her breasts nearly slipped from the cups of her top.
There was a murmur of confirmation before the chair squeaked and the occupant stood up, granting you the first view of them. indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
