SMALL ARACHNE
A subspecies smaller than the standard arachne, Small Arachne are easily distinguishable from the regular arachne due to their almost child-like appearance. Their legs are short, but in exchange for their small physique, they are capable of moving much faster than the average arachne, along with being good at jumping and full of energy. Instead of spinning webs like their larger brethren, Small Arachne scurry around on the ground in search of prey. Although they can produce thread, Small Arachne only use this reserve of webbing to either stop or slow down their descent when falling from high places to prevent any injuries.
LONG LEG ARACHNE
Sometimes called "Long Legs", these large subspecies of arachne are recognized by having thinner and longer legs than the standard arachne, hence the name. Aside from having a mild-mannered personality, this arachne subspecies cannot produce thread, but they can move surprisingly quickly to secure their prey. A Long Leg Arachne's hunting instincts are so powerful that they will sometimes abandon the prey they have captured to pursue new prey. As they are especially uncompromising regarding the extermination of household pests, Long Leg Arachne are respectfully known among those troubled by such pests as "sergeants".
