Chapter #7

You go with her on a mission

You realize that you have been avoiding any excessive contact with others. You are still not comfortable with the idea of being a half-naked female. But you have to do research some time. You look up at her, "Okay. When do we leave?"

She grins, "Right now!"

Before you know it, you are in an aircraft heading deep into the Pandoran forrest. You land in a clearing and follow Grace and a huge male that is somehow a marine in an avatar. As Grace is taking samples, you see the marine, Jake is his name, wander off. You are glad, since being around him was stirring strange feelings in your body. You figure that that is some proof of your theory. You are reacting on instincts, not reason. Then you worried what would happen if instincts ruled you in this body?

You notice a strange flower off to one side. As Jake wanders in one direction, you go in another. You had no idea how far you had gone until you hear some kind of strange animal call. Then growls, howls and yelling! You turn and realize that you have no idea what direction to go in to get back!

Before you can get your bearings, the ground is rumbling beneath you. You want to run, but find yourself scared. Suddenly, the bushes in front of you burst open and a hammerhead like creature runs right into you, knocking the wind out of you and launching you high through the air! You are in shock, gasping, when you hit something and everything goes black.

Soon, you find yourself back in the pod as you hear it being opened. You look up to see Grace, "What the hell were you doing!?! Where is your body now? Is it still alive?"

You look at her as you sit up. "I, I don't know. I was looking at some flowers when I heard all kinds of noise. Before I knew it, some creature rammed me, I flew through the air, then everything went black, then I was here."

Grace paced, "Then your avatar might be alright. You have been out for three hours. Most Pandorans that survive that kind of blow that long are alright. They have incredible regenerative powers. Get some rest. I won't send you back in until you have decompressed from that experience."

Back in the forrest, Akwey, a young male, had been watching the strangers. He noticed a new dream walker, a young girl, who was very attractive. If it had not been for their order to stay away from the off-worlders, he might have gone to talk to her.

From his hiding place in the tree, he heard, then saw the ruckus caused by the other new dream walker. How stupid were these people? He was frozen by indecision as he saw the beast heading toward the girl. He could save her, but he was not supposed to go to them! Too late! It hit her and sent her sailing through the air! He lost sight of her in the thickness of the leaves.

He then realized that the other off-worlders had flown off in their air machine, leaving the girl behind! He headed in the direction he had seen her thrown. Perhaps she still lived?

Your avatar body was laying limp on the forrest floor. Strange, floating seeds landed on your body. A green glow formed on the ground beneath it, especially beneath some wounded areas. You were not aware as your body glowed inside and out and healed. There was a strange glow especially through and around your hips and abdomen.

Akwey found the young girl lying on the forrest floor. When he looked, he gasped! The sacred seeds watched over her, and there was a strange glow about her. It was as though Eywa herself was healing her!

When it faded, and he saw her gasp back to life, he knew he had no choice, this was a sign! He had to take her back to Hometree! He picked her up, still awed by her beauty as she slept, then carried her home.
