Chapter #19Confronting Mew. by: Unknown "Uh, hi." you reply to the pink pokemon.
"So, Meloetta told me you found yourself shrunk a few hours ago. Is that true?" Mew asks you.
"Yes, that's right. I was walking around in a forest, when I suddenly felt dizzy. I fainted and, when I woke up..."
"...He followed my song and found me. He asked for my help and I decided to let him stay inside my body." Meloetta finishes your story.
Mew just looks at you two silently, seeming to be pondering something, before speaking up.
"Well, as I said, that's really a really amusing story. Little one, I seem to understand that you don't have any clue of how you got so tiny, and nor do you Meloetta." she says, both of you nodding.
"Well, I'm sorry to say, I don't have any idea of how to change you back." Mew says with a sorrowful look.
"But I may have an idea." she adds.
"We're listening." Meloetta says.
"Well, I think we should split up for a while. I'll try and find a way to grow the little human back, while you, Meloetta, keep him safe in the meantime... Although I really wouldn't mind staying with this little guy for some time. It can get very lonely in this forest. Anyway I'll let you know if I discover anything." Mew explains. You look up to Meloetta, who returns your gaze.
"Just a minute, Mew..." she says, turning around.
"What to do?" you whisper.
"Well, it seems a good idea to me. And, then again, what other choice do we have? Might as well stick to this idea." she whispers back. You nod.
Meloetta turns around again.
"Well, Mew, we think it's a good idea... if it's not a problem that is..." she says.
"Are you kidding? It'll be the perfect excuse to leave this forest for a while. It gets incredibly boring around here, and this adventure seems like lots of fun!" the pink pokemon cheers.
"It's decided then. I'll contact you if I find anything interesting. See you later!" Mew beams, before disappearing in a flash of light.
"She teleported." Meloetta explains upon seeing your confused look.
"And I think we don't have anything else to do here." she adds, starting to float toward the exit of the forest.
Shortly, she is out of the forest, the midday sun shining in the sky. Meloetta looks at you, who are still sitting on her black paw.
"Hey little guy." she calls out.
"What?" you reply.
"Ready to go back in?" she asks, opening her mouth to empathize the sentence. You nod as the green haired pokemon lifts her paw to her face and drops you inside her mouth, before swallowing.
Once again, you get to experience the descent into her stomach. But, this time, you know what awaits you, so you land on your feet on the bone floor, Meloetta's psychic projection waiting for you.
"Welcome back trainer." she says cheerfully.
"Say Meloetta, where could I explore now?" you ask.
"Well, there are lot of places you haven't seen yet." she says, telling you some places such as 'Singing Room' or 'Dance Simulator'.
"So, where would you like to start?" she then asks.
Before you can reply, though, your stomach growls, asking for food. You rub your head.
"Um... Maybe some place where I can eat something?" you ask, making Meloetta giggle.
"Of course. Follow me." she says, floating off, you following her.
Soon, she stops right before a fleshy sphincter.
"Go through this hole." she says. You do as instructed and walk toward the hole. You touch it, and it opens at your contact. You walk through it and find yourself in a large, spherical room. You see large folds of flesh resembling a table with some chairs around it, while some tubes hang from the ceiling.
You sit down on a chair as Meloetta comes in.
"Welcome to my Food Store. You'll be getting your meals here." she explains. Just then, trays of food come out of the many tubes. Nuts, berries and much more food land on the table along with water, berry juice and what seems to be wine, judging by the strong aroma. Your stomach growls impatiently, waiting to be satisfied. Meloetta sits down on your lap.
"What are you waiting for? Eat up!" she giggles.
She doesn't have to tell twice, as you immediately start digging in, enjoying the great sensation of having your belly filling up.
Meloetta patiently waits for you to stop eating, before lifting herself as you get up.
"How was it?" she asks with a smile. A satisfied sigh seems to please her.
"Good. Now, how about we resume our tour?" you nod in response.
You spend the next hours exploring the various places within Meloetta's body as she guides through new rooms. But in the end, she guides you back in your room before disappearing. And her booming voice is heard, making you assume it's the real Meloetta speaking.
"I'm going to sleep human. If you want to keep exploring, you're free to do it. Or you can go to sleep, it's pretty late." she says.
You look at your watch. And true to her word, it's 11:30 PM.
"Whoa, time really flies. I think I'm going to bed as well." you reply.
"Goodnight then." comes her voice, before everything goes quiet. You are about to lay down on the bed, before you you look at the twin 'windows' that are her eyes. You get an idea and go look through it.
As expected, you manage to see where Meloetta currently is, even though it's really dark outside; she's in some kind of cave. Yawning, you decide it's time to hit the hay and lay on the bed.
'This day sure has been pretty eventful.' you think, before slowly drifting off.
