It's never easy to say goodbye to an old home, old friends, and old life. But apparently youre too smart to live a happy normal life with your old pals and neighbors just cuz youre a little smarter than them. Or at least TOO smart for a kid your age that you not only have to be skipped a couple years ahead of your classmates, but you gotta go to one of those special schools for the 'gifted'!
You begged your mother not to ship you to one of those overseas private schools, but she always had it in for you... just cuz you like to tease her over her little fantasy psuedo-religious roleplay sessions she and her friends have in the basement and that you flat out refuse to be a part of cuz of how stupid you think it is... she couldnt WAIT to get rid of you! Thinks you might finally learn something of value, she says! Youre only a few years away from getting a PHD! What else of VALUE do you need to learn?!
You were shipped off to a place called the 'Youkai Academy'. You heard rumors about this special place, but mostly silly ones like it's a special school for monsters with monster teachers teaching monsters how to become proper monsters. Normally, you'd wonder why your mother would register you to a weird place like THAT, but consider the weird stuff she's in, youre not surprised.
Still, you got no choice but to get your belongings, get on the plane, and spend your time all alone in your big lonely hotel room until the day youre dragged onto that special bus to that special school with all the other 'monsters' sealed away from the outside world.
So there you sat in your lonely LONELY hotel room bored out of your skull. You watched tv, but nothing was on. Nothing worth watching anyway. You already read all 14 of your Dresden Files books who knows how many times. You already gotten 100% completion through Persona 3 and 4 and done practically everything you can do in them. With nothing else to do, you decide to go for a little walk outside. Sadly, the town youre in was pretty small and surrounded by gloomy dark forest full of feral wildlife that realizes theyre physically stronger than humans and are afraid to eat one should they leave the boundaries!
No mall, no bookstore, no arcade... and a LOT of gloomy dark forest!
The walk was very short and nobody all the townsfolk were locked up indoors for some reason. You couldnt see anybody out but yourself. You followed the path of street lights, curious to see how far they stretch which led you to a little park. You didnt get much of a view of the park cuz you dare not tread near the forest. All you made out in the light was a couple of park benches, a water fountain, and a big red glowing symbol of the occult on the ground.
BIG RED GLOWING SYMBOL OF THE OCCULT?!! Oy, the townsfolk are into this kind of crap, too?!
As if tonight wasnt bad enough, you spot someone lying unconscious in the middle of the symbol! A young short black haired oriental girl who looked about your age in what looked to be a schoolgirl uniform under a pinkish yellow cape with a cute yellow bow and a big purple pointy cap not unlike a witch cap.
Two things popped into your head: First was 'What the heck is that girl doing wearing such a ridiculous outfit at this time of night?' then 'OH MY GOD! Is that girl ok?!' in that particular order. Ok, so youre not exactly a saint, but c'mon!
"Oh dear," you sighed before running toward the circle and shouted, "Hey lady! Are you alright?!" She didnt so much as flinch in her 'sleep'. When you got close enough, you noticed she had a big nasty cut on her leg. The wound look so fresh, it was still bleeding. What coulda happened to her before she passed out cold? Eh, you'll have to give the third degree. You'd better get that poor girl to safety before that wound becomes something worse.
"Wha?!" as you moved closer, you had to suddenly stop moving instinct. You didnt know why, but you felt something. Something BAD. You didnt know how to explain it but there was something about that glow in the symbol that gave caution vibes to your brain, telling you to stay back!
Logically, it made no sense. But it too hard to shrug off the bad vibes coming from the circle. It almost ALMOST seemed as if someone or something was coming. Coming to get the girl, perhaps?! C'mon, that's just plain silly! Nobody believes in that garbage... except your mom, of course. And yet...
You began to shiver and sweat as you got closer, fearing the unknown. You didnt wanna leave the girl, but... something was up! What was it?!
