"Blastoise, use Hydro Pump!" Shouted a boy.
"Emboar, dodge it and use Heat Crash!" Shouted another boy.
A wave of heat surounded the stadium and the ground crumbled due to the impact of the heat and Blastoise was sent soaring through the air. It landed with a crash at the other end of the ship.
"Blastoise is unable to battle! The winner is Emboar!"
"Nice job, Pignite!" The trainer cried as the pokemon ran up to him.
"Pignite? That's a Emboar!" Ash exclaimed.
"I evolved it! But now look," the trainer explained as he gave the pig pokemon a rock. It shrank and lost it's flaming maine.
"WHOAH! What is that?!" Misty asked astonishly.
"Its a de-evolution stone. Only found in Curina!" He explained happily as he hugged the pokemon.
"ASH! I challenge you to a battle!" Shouted a happy female voice. The group turned to see a girl wearing a grey jacket, long bell bottom pants, and tennis shoes. Her hair was a light shade of brown, she had a few freckles, and grey eyes.
"Who are you?" Dawn asked.
"If you beat me, I'll tell you," she giggled.
"OKAY!" Ash replied. "One on One!"
"That's what I was hopping you would say..." She replied.
"Go! Butterfree!" She shouted as she threw her pokeball.
"Pika-bee!" Pikachu whined.
"Alright, buddy, go get'em!" Ash smiled.
Pikachu jumped of his shoulder and jolted towards the arena. Butterfree sent out a purple ray at pikachu and he flew towards a horn.
"What the...?!" Ash cried.
"I'm a phycic! I told Butterfree to attack!" She hollered.
'I've been in this same situation before...,' Ash thought to himself. 'At one of my gym battles..."
"Pikachu, use thunder!"
"ChUuuuuuuuuuuuu!" Pikachu cried, but the butterfly had already zoomed past to evade the attack. A mist of purple dust showered everywhere.
"Pika!" Pikachu gagged.
"Poison Powder!" Brock murmured.
"C'mon! Surely this isn't the Ash Ketchum I've been hearing about!" He girl guffawed. The Butterfree sent more waves of phycic energy to Pikachu.
"Pikachu!" Ash yelled.
"Pika!!!!" Pikachu yelled. Pikachu jumped to his feet and jumped on top of the Butterfree.
"Bwee! Buta bree!" It screeched as Pikachu clung to it's back. It flapped rappidly trying to shake him off.
"THUNDER!" Ash cried.
"GROUND IT!" The girl screamed.
The Butterfree flew straight down on it's back and slammed Pikachu into the ground. A whirl of smoke billowed from every direction and a flash of electricity lit up the fog. The fog cleared and showed that the winner was-
