Chapter #5

To the east sky

    by: Undbitr Author IconMail Icon
The captain looked at the map and saw he was to take his ship into the far eastern skies well past where anyone else had ever been. Seeing this he got excited and smiled, exploring lands untold just as his father before him had. The idea of flying past the desert that had surrounded the country of Hadlet was just so exciting he could hardly wait, he almost jumped for joy when he saw! He quickly regained his composure, fixing his coat and shirt he strode out of his cabin and off to the Ships Bridge to oversee the departure of his glorious ship.
Thinking back about his boyhood dreams of flying through the sky as a bird would, he smiled nostalgically to himself at the wonder of not just flying but being in charge of one of the most advanced ships on the entire planet!
He saw men stepping onto the ship after a month of shore leave in the city of Frelksverg the capital of Hadlet, and men going to check on the craft stored one level below the main deck.
one of the men called out "GOOD AFTERNOON COMMANDER JACKSON SIR!" Jackson returned the salutation with a wave and a smile continuing on his way to the bridge.
