This choice: "Why did you suddenly fall to the ground like that?" • Go Back...Chapter #6"Why did you suddenly fall to the ground li... by: Crimson   You got rather confused. It was not supposed to be the pressing matter right now, was it? But nonetheless, you answered his question.
"I... Got shocked when I suddenly turned into... A pixie"
Now, this time, it's your old body who looked confused.
"...Turned into a pixie? What were you before you're one?"
You started to get scarred a little bit. If you ended up in a pixie's body, then most likely the one currently inhabiting your body was the pixie. But it looked like that she or he or whatever didn't realize the fact that you were swapped.
"What? What are you saying?! I was you! I mean, that body belonged to me! I'm not a pixie!" you started to get stressed out.
"...Look, I just have a bad day here. See my cart? It's broken to pieces. The last thing I need is a delusional pixie," your body said in a rather annoyed voice.
"B... But," you stammered.
Your eyes started to get wet in response to your fear. You were not that crybaby when you were still yourself, but this fairy body reacted differently to your emotion. Before long, you started sobbing uncontrolably. Your old body, seeing you cried like that, started to soften his expression. After a brief sigh, he tried to pat your head gently.
"There, there... I'm sorry I was rude, but your story wasn't make any sense to me," he said with a smile.
Your old body extended his hand below you, gesturing you to land on his palm. You gratefully did just that. Your rather tired wings combined with your current mental state made you felt very weak.
"But you have to believe me... I'm sure we have swapped bodies," you persisted between your sniffs.
"Okay, suppose it really happened to us. How did it happen?" he asked you.
You started to think. At first, you thought that this was the work of the pixie's magic. But it seemed rather unlikely now that you thought about it twice. You remembered that the pixie approached you before the swap happened. You wouldn't do that if you were the pixie, at least. Besides, your old body, you thought, act just like you. Maybe he really didn't know. Then the next wierd thing was...
"The mirror!" You shouted.
"Mirror?"
"Yes, the one the bandits found inside the cart!"
You flew back up, and saw that the mirror was still there on the ground. You gestured wildly at it, and started to descend to approach the mirror. At the same time, your old body bent down to grab it. Whose face was reflected first on the mirror?  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
