Chapter #7

She can't get away with this!

    by: Sellet Author IconMail Icon
As strange as it was to have the legs of a horse, you found your bouncing bosom to be a bigger distraction. Constant heaving with each step forced you to remember everything you lost. The simple shirt you wore also offered very little support. In a fit of frustration, you hike up the bottom of the cloth and pull it to the side. After tucking it under your breasts, you tie it off leaving you with a tight makeshift bra. It is not the most comfortable garment, but better this than letting your tits dance free.

Anger can be a powerful driver. Right now it is stirring your new hooves into a brisk trot. It was hard to believe how quickly you adapted to the extra legs, but you were traveling easily less than a couple hours after first standing. The issue was you had no idea where the sorceress had gone. You were quite familiar with these woods, but had never before seen her or any sign of magic users in this place. She had said something about those sticks you had cut. She had been working on whatever those were for a long time. So surely she must be living somewhere close by. For now you just walked along, hoping to run into some trace or clue.

As afternoon faded to evening, you were becoming nervous. Maybe you should have faced the consequences of returning home. You had no equipment for camping and no idea where you were heading. Your nerves quickened your pace. The once familiar forest was becoming strange. You had to calm yourself. Panic would only make things worse. Heading toward the nearest path would be a start, so you begin to go toward where you felt the road ought to be.

The air is cooler now. The sun, barely below the tree line, still gave a fair amount of light. You could not understand why it seemed so cold though. Winter was over and it had been a very nice day. Yet you could feel the goosebumps on your skin. You wrapped your arms around your exposed midriff and rubbed your smooth belly, bringing a bit of relief. Shivering slightly, you were struck by another feeling. This one told you to turn sharply right and walk to the top of a hill you saw. It was inexplicable, but you followed. At the very least, you could get a better vantage there before the light went away. Climbing a tree just didn't seem to be in the cards for you at the moment.

Once you made it to the top, you realized the view was not as tremendous as one might expect. However, through the branches and across the tangled tops, you could make something out. Two somethings in fact! Off to the left was a trail of white smoke curling lazily into the air. Seems someone has made camp not too far from here. You could probably reach the source of the smoke before dark. Further off to the right, you saw something more remarkable. A well made tower of stone standing far above the tree line. How strange. You had never seen this place before and given the size, you have no idea how you could have missed it. But more than that, you were sure no one had ever talked about a large tower like this in these woods. The mystery tower was much further off. If you started walking now, you were sure you would not make it until well after the sun had gone down.

Should you approach the camp of strangers? No telling how they would react to you or even what kind of people they were. The more you looked at the tower though, the more uneasy it made you. Such a mysterious spire was very likely dangerous. The only other option open to you was to sleep alone under a tree. That thought frightened you. The risk of exposure and possibility of facing a hostile creature were not insignificant. Your only options seemed to each have unique and serious risk.
