You contemplate taking care of the eggs yourself, you almost feel you have to simply they came from you, but you only get as far as plopping them onto a makeshift nest of your bed sheets before you get a visitor. Nurse Redheart pushes in your door and finds you standing (Albeit on wobbling legs) by your best and tucking something into your bed.
"Dearie? Is everythin-WAH!" She gets close enough to see your "nest" and is reasonably surprised, but thankfully Nurse Redheart is a medical professional and a level-headed pony, so she reacts to your dilemma with the tact you'd expect from a pony who's seen so much. "Did you lay a bunch of fucking eggs?"
You glance to the pile, still slick with your fluids and then back to her. "I... Uh, yes?"
The nurse sits down on the ground, wide-eyed, and takes a deep breath to make sure she's actually seeing what she is. And then, much to your discomfort, she laughs. It's a nervous, almost panicked laugh that makes you wonder if you just broke her mind.
"Ha! Heehee..." her laugh dies down to a snicker, " I suppose that explains the bloating, and the eggs! Ha! I should have seen this coming a mile away, a mare who lays eggs."
You suddenly feel very relieved, "Oh, gosh, so you've seen this before? That's a real relie-"
"No, no I haven't. Are you insane?"
"Oh."
"But!" She stands up suddenly, quite happy with herself, "this is a splendid opportunity to learn something about the first mare to ever lay eggs in Ponyville! Here, hold still!" Redheart sidles up to you and starts looking you up and down, expecting every topical feature she can, then takes a small stethoscope and plants it on you in a few places, then a few more. "Do you feel anything odd?"
"Uh, well, my legs are kinda sore."
"Of course," she says, "that's to be expected. You did pass all these through your birth canal, correct? It must have stretched your vagina quite a bit. Lean over the bed for me, will you?"
You do as she says, and Redheart gets a nice look at the number those eggs did on your ladyparts. They're still moist from passing them and stretched two about an inch wider. She pushes on the folds, shocking you a bit, but you relax as she massages you.
"Well, it doesn't seem that your birthing caused any long-term problems, though you're going to need a larger stallion next time around." She snickers, "Ooh, I'm so sorry, that's terribly rude of me. You did get these eggs from a stallion, right? No, wait, don't answer that either. I'm sorry, it's just such an incredible circumstance you're in that I can't help but get all ruffled."
"What about the eggs?" You're not sure what made you ask, but you needed to know.
"Hmm," Nurse Redheart slips around you to the eggs, pressing her stenthoscope against them, "Incredible. Not only are they alive and healthy in there, but they're very far in their growth cycle. I've studied griffon eggs in the past, and freshly-laid they usually take about a month, but these look like they're going to crack right open in a few days time, mommy!"
"A... Few days?" Wow, this is a lot for you to take in, laying eggs and in only a few days having to take care of them, "Nurse Redheart, I have something I want to say."
"And what is that, dear?"
