This choice: She catches a glimpse of the growth • Go Back...Chapter #8The incredible growing Applejack! by: Gee   The sisters make there way towards the barn, as they are closing in on the structure Applejack recedes in size again before spurting outwards in all directions. Apple Bloom who had had been staring aimlessly into the distance up to this point, caught the sight of orange hair expanding into her peripheral vision to her right. She then quickly turned her head to gaze fully upon her elder sibling and couldn't fathom what she was witnessing. It didn't last all to long and it wasn't by much but her sister had grown larger right in front of her very eyes! "What the hey?" AB blurted out without a second thought. "Apple Bloom watch your mouth! You know Granny don't like such language!" AJ scolded the filly surprised by her outburst. "I'm sorry Applejack, it's just that you GREW! Iknow that sounds preposterous but it's true I jus seen it!" Exclaimed the filly in disbelief as she continued to examine her sister. Apple Bloom thought to herself for a moment, (Man she's got to be almost as big as Big Mac, maybe even bigger!) she shuttered as she finished the thought. "Apple Bloom are you still going on about that? Ah thought you were goofin before, but it sounds like you are starting to believe it yourself." AJ quizzically claimed. "I swear BIG sis I'm not making this up!" AB protested as she stopped in her tracks causing Applejack to do the same. " Can't you tell somethings off? Your legs are longer, your backside is wider, shoot even your head is bigger! It's really weird, ah mean look at me. Don't I look smaller than I did I few minutes ago?" AB continued to reason to her sister trying to convince the over-sized pony to notice the change in herself. "Ha, ha Apple Bloom I don't have a clue what has gotten into you but don't you think I'd realize ah was enlarging?" AJ laughed the notion off and confidently declined. "Maybe not Applejack, I mean it wasn't a huge spurt or nuthing. Perhaps since it's happening to you, you can't tell." AB purposed logically. "Oh come now Apple Bloom what sense does that make, my whole form and balance would be thrown off if ah was bigger! " AJ rationalized as Apple Bloom scanned Applejack again for any oddities. "I don't know, would you say you've had a normal day then sis? Did you find anything strange out in the orchard, did you nick yourself on a tree, or perhaps pricked yourself with a strange bush?" AB rattling off a series of questions trying to justify the phenomenon. "Let's see here, I ate an apple. It was orange like me!" AJ answered truthfully humoring her younger sibling for a moment. Just as Applejack made that revelation Apple Bloom noticed something odd about Applejack's cart attached to her back. "That's it!" AB blurted out excitedly. "Wha the apple, naw it couldn't be. Sure was tasty though." AJ stated reminiscing on how delicious that apple had been salivating slightly. "No your cart! See how it's risen higher than it had bee when you started?" AB said deduct-fully like a expert sleuth. Applejack turned to look at her rig, it did feel like it was a bit raised not to mention tight. "You see you haven't adjusted it to your new height, the front wheels are barely making contact with the ground!" AB added sounding even more sure of herself. "Maybe Big Mac fiddled with my rig to slow me down Apple Bloom you know how competitive he gets." AJ reasoned trying to stay calm with a dash of worry in her tone. " I don't know Applejack sure doesn't sound like something Big Mac would do even with his competitive nature, he prefers a fair game to a rigged one." AB stated in a consulting tone. "Ok, but adult ponies don't just grow Apple Bloom. I hit my peak growth spurt ages ago!" AJ stated sounding more confused than anything. "Welp apparently not Applejack but don't worry, ah am here for you." AB said comfortingly. "I know sugar cube, I have the best darn sister in all of Equestria." AJ said proudly full of warmth in her tone. "Well we bes be continuing to the barn now wouldn't want Granny Smith to worry." AB stated responsibly. "Yeah it's is about that time ain't it. Hey Apple Bloom, can you keep this whole growth thing between us?" Applejack concurred whilst making a small request. " I'll try but if you get any bigger I doubt the others won't notice." AB agreed as the thought of her older sister having difficulties exiting the barn filled her imagination. "Sounds fair, in the meantime ah should probably consult Twilight she'll know what to do." AJ states while coming to terms with her situation. As the girls close in on the barn Granny Smith can be heard from the house hollering, "Hurry up you two super almost ready.  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
