"Applejack, Big Mac, is that you two? Supper is nearly ready!" Called the elderly pony with an apple pie on her flank as the duo approached the inner garden past the front gate. "Yea it's us Granny, be there in a minute. Gotta drop our haul off in the barn k." AJ responded respectfully. This is when Big Mac turned to his sibling and motioned for her to head on inside ahead of him. "Wha, Big Mac you wanna take care of mai wagon?" AJ asked tentatively. "Eeyup." BM replied sternly. "Why that's mighty kind of ya Big Mac, thank you. Say this wouldn't have anything to do about that bucking earlier now would it?" AJ gratefully responded while questioning Big Mac's motives. "Nnope." Big Mac stated firmly trying not to divulge the true reason was being so helpful. "Welp see ya inside then "Big" fella." AJ stated playfully with her muzzle displaying a smirk. A little taken aback Big Mac nodded and turned to face the barn as Applejack disconnected from her cart. The truth was Big Mac would rather put the carts away then face the awkwardness that was sure to follow Applejack's entrance to there home.
"Evenin ya'll" AJ greeted her family fondly. Apple Bloom who had only just now seen her sister since the change looked over at the mare and responded, "Howdy sis......?" As Apple Bloom confusingly addressed Applejack not sure she was seeing things right Granny Smith said bluntly, "Took ya long enough Applejack?" "Yea decided to get a little ahead and knock an extra row out on the orchard." AJ replied truthfully. "Oh, OK then however Applejack don't go overworking yourself now" GS stated sounding concerned. With Apple Bloom still holding a puzzled expression as Applejack made her way towards the washroom. "What's a matter sugar cube?" AJ inquired noticing just how small Apple Bloom seemed as she passed her by. "Oh, nothin. Say where's Big Mac?" AB snapping out of a daydream esk state before quickly changing the subject. "Alright then" AJ replied as she stepped into the washroom. Big Mac crossed they're home's threshold soon after wearing a concerned look upon his face. Apple Bloom rushed to confront Big Mac to discretely as possible to confirm her suspicions."Big Mac is does Applejack seem BIGGER to you? AB carefully asked her brother desperately trying to maintain her sanity. "Eeyup!" BM stated bluntly. "What are you two on about now? I can hear you bickerin bout something!." GS asked sounding a little agitated by they're blatant secrecy. "Nothing at all Granny, just planning a goof on Applejack." AB answered wittily not wanting to alarm the old mare. " Now you know I love a good goof but be nice to Applejack, lord knows she works mighty hard around here." GS says wisely. With that Big Mac heads towards the washroom and passes Applejack on the way. Still a little put off/intimidated by her new size he keeps his focus straight ahead. Applejack notes the odd behavior of her brother who is normally confident if not a little pompous but she just shrugs it off and goes over to Apple Bloom to assist her in finishing setting the table.
After a moment Big Mac returns from the washroom and joins the girls and takes his seat across from Granny Smith. "Apple Bloom states the following while staring down at her bowl of delicious smelling stew, "Thanks for the grub Granny." "Yes, thank you Granny. This looks great!" AJ politely states. "Eeyup." BM concurs gratefully. "Aww, you young ins are quite welcome. Now dig in." GS responds sweetly appreciative of the acknowledgement. The supper goes smoothly with the family sharing funny musings about they're day, however Big Mac and Apple Bloom couldn't help hlp be concerned of they're siblings new developments. Especially Big Mac who had noticed the change after that last tree she bucked it was then that he heard Applejack begin to recall that very story to the lime green mare, "Yeah Granny it sure was somethin, ya should have seen the look on Big Mac's face as he surveyed all 18 bushels on the ground." Applejack said gleefully as her body once again contracted and ballooned larger still if only a little bit polishing off her first bowl. Apple Bloom's eyes bugged out cartoonishly with her mouth agape before turning to glace at her brother in astonishment. "Ha ha, now don't go gettin to BIG for your britches Applejack." GS jokingly sounding ironically oblivious to what just happened despite her on point word choice. " I'll try not to Granny, but I'll need to show you sometime." AJ obliged also seemly not picking up on the oddly contradictory statement as she reached for another helping of stew. Big Mac returned a dumbfounded look at his little sister sharing in her disbelief as he was pretty certain that he had just become the second largest apple.
Cautiously the pair remained silent during the rest of the meal not sure what to say or do, or even what to make of this whole ordeal but they new they had to do something! Applejack finished her second bowl and stood up to her even newer height, she was now Big Mac's height of 5ft 2in. "Well night ya'll,I'm mighty tired from the days work. Thanks again Granny the meal was fantastic!" Applejack said as she receded before ascending a little further into the air to the height of 5ft 9in! "Goodnight sweetie!" GS replied as she joined her grand kids in they're disbelief in the fact that Applejack now stood nearly 6 feet. "Night." was all Apple Bloom could muster after what she just witnessed. "Eeyup." BM said sounding both concerned and scared. Applejack wasn't sure why her family had just taken such a weird tonal shift in they're responses, she also didn't quite understand why the table looked so much lower than it had been. She shrugged it of though and just chocked it up to being weary and headed upstairs to her room for some much deserved rest.
