Chapter #34New Mobotropolis by: Wasp   "If I understand you two correctly, Bean is typically taking the lead and you follow behind him to make sure he doesn't get himself hurt or killed, right?" Nicole asked. The bear nodded, looking down at the unconscious duck. "Well, then I should be able to pull a few strings and make sure you don't get locked up."
"Wait, really?" Fiona asked.
"Would you say that Bean understands what he's doing?"
"... No... Oh, I see! Because he doesn't understand, he's not really guilty, and Bark hasn't really done much except follow him and protect him." Fiona snapped her fingers.
"Exactly." Nicole smiled. "And since Nic is well on the side of the law now, you're probably going to be the only one in any sort of trouble, and even Tails doesn't defend you to the hilt, I'll eat my handheld."
Fiona smiled for a moment, then frowned. "What if Bean becomes a problem again?"
"That's where you two come in." Nicole said, gesturing to her and Nic. "I want you two to be his handlers, since you know how to control him. Divert his tendencies from being a hindrance to the Freedom Fighters, to a help. Point him at Eggman, or Naugus, or Finitevus, or any of them."
"Oh, that could work." Nic smiled. "I'll take that on, looks like Fi has a lot of her own issues to handle."
"I'll help as much as I can, Nic." Fiona nodded. "But yeah, there are some issues there."
The rest of the trip was made with just small talk, as Nicole brought her friends to the Mobotropolis FF base, and took them all to the medbay.
"As much as we worked everything out, it's easier to get a doctor out here than explain everything right now." Nicole said. "I shall call Doctor Quack."   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
