This choice: Tsunade has an idea... Naruto could be Sakura's apprentice • Go Back...Chapter #18Naruto Becomes Sakura's Apprentice by: jedsho1234   "Actually..." Tsunade mused. "I do have an idea. Naruto even though you are officially recognized as a sage, you are still technically a genin."
"Oh come on!" Naruto complained. "I thought I was promoted after the war?"
"Nope. You were just given the title of sage which gave you more privileges than even jonin receive. Your sage title is outside of our ninja classification system, so you are still a genin."
"That's a load of crap! I..."
"Be quiet Naruto!" Sakura interrupted, instantly shutting up the man she was currently using as a bench. "Let Tsunade-sama speak!"
"Thank you Sakura. As I was saying, Naruto you are still technically a genin, but Sakura here is a jonin. So in Konoha's ninja classification Sakura is a higher station over you."
"But I..."
"Naruto..." Sakura growled in warning before he could say anything more. "Be a good bitch and shut up. You will not speak until I give you permission."
Naruto snapped his mouth shut, but not without grumbling under his breath about how it wasn't fair that he was still a genin after he saved the entire world. Sakura found his grumbling too cute and amusing to say anything.
"Now since you're technically a higher station than Naruto, you can take him as your apprentice Sakura."
"Wait...how would me taking Naruto as my apprentice help?" Sakura asked. Although she quite liked the idea of being Naruto's master. If he was her apprentice it would be implied that Sakura was better and stronger than Naruto. And after a lifetime of working her ass off just so she could still see Naruto's back as he protected her, Sakura was in love with the idea of being considered stronger than him. Even if it was only implied, and certainly not true."
"Well neither of you have taken on apprentices yet, so you wouldn't know this, but you actually have to fill out paperwork when you take an apprentice. In that paperwork is an outdated provision that gives the master rights to have his or her apprentice with him at all times. No one actually activates that provision, but as Naruto's master, you would be able to. And while I would rather you let him go on his own missions while you work at the hospital, I can see that you have complete control over Naruto. So if you really are insisting on doing this, I would rather you keep Naruto as a ninja instead of enslaving him as I've chosen him to be my successor." Tsunade explained.
"That's perfect Tsunade-sama!" Sakura squealed with an excited smile on her face. "Let's fill out the paperwork right now!"
"Jeez, alright." Tsunade sighed. "Come over here and I'll show you where you need to sign."
"You heard her Naruto, chop chop!" Sakura ordered in a giddy tone as she lifted her feet. Naruto crawled so he was kneeling directly in front of the Hokage's desk.
"A little higher Naruto."
Naruto pushed up so his arms were fully extended and his body was as high as it could possibly be while on all fours. As Tsunade started guiding Sakura through the paperwork to make him her apprentice, Naruto found himself wishing there was another way to go about this.
He was not interested in being Sakura's apprentice. He was stronger than her, and he had more battle experience. His lack of chakra control meant that he wouldn't be able to learn medical jutsus... if anything Sakura should be his apprentice instead! He had many more techniques he could teach her.
But there was no denying how happy this was making Sakura, so Naruto kept his mouth shut... Well because of that AND the fact that Sakura still hadn't given him permission to speak again...
Still, being Sakura's apprentice definitely beat being her slave.
The paperwork was taking longer to fill out, and while Sakura was by no means even close to being heavy, Naruto's body was starting to strain due to the position it was maintaining. He closed his eyes and focused on the natural energy around him. He drew the surrounding energy in to enter sage mode.
With the power of nature itself coursing through his veins, his body lost the straining feeling. From the looks of things, he could expect to be Sakura's bench for a while.
Finally after one long hour, Sakura's beautiful and cheerful voice announced,
"Finished! Thanks Tsunade-sama! You're officially my apprentice now Naruto, and you will be with me at all times!" Sakura paused and waited for her bitch's reply, but none came.
"Naruto?" She asked in a more concerned sounding voice.
"You haven't given him permission to speak yet." Tsunade noted with an amused smile.
"Oh crap!" Sakura giggled. "You may speak Naruto."
"Thank you Sakura."
"Call me master now." Sakura grinned. "Well Tsunade-sama, we'll be on our way now, more things to do!"
"No problem. Have fun you two."
Sakura opened her mouth to order her new apprentice to take them to their next destination, but snapped it shut when she saw he was in sage mode and his arms were slightly shaking. She quickly stood up, grabbed Naruto's collar and yanked him straight up into her lips. She tried to convey as much gratitude for his devotion as she could in the kiss. Sakura giggled at the dumbfounded, surprised and joyous expression on Naruto's face.
"Let's go Naruto!"  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
